NEEDLE-STICK TECHNOLOGY

the cost of safe practice

Each year there are over 1.2 million needle-stick injuries. Technologies that substantially reduce the chance of a needle-stick injury are sold at a premium therefore preventing widespread adoption.

The challenge was to develop a solution that offers maximum user and clinician protection yet costs the same as the budget alternative.

The solution is a simple realignment of existing components, no extra parts and no therefore extra costs. An autonomous needle-stick solution that reacts upon the insertion of the Vacuutainer to arm the sheath and therefore not relying on the clinician to consciously covered the dirty needle.
